The maple has a smooth veneer top. One is a sande plywood. The sande has more of the wood grain feel and look. Please see picture of both examples. Laser cut from 1 4" wood. This is an UNFISNISHED & UNASSEMBLED wood kit All pieces will come unassembled for easy painting and gluing will be required when assembling, WHAT DO YOU NEED TO HAVE ON HAND wood stain and or paint
